Dexpanthenol contains a strong moisturising ingredient which proves to be an adjuvant in the treatment of dry and very sensitive skin as well as skin after sunburn. Pantothenic acid is essential in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, as well as in the synthesis of hormones and cholesterol.
Panthenol helps accelerate the keratinization of the dermis and increases the moisture level in the skin, leaving it smooth and supple. Additionally, it improves cell regeneration and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to treat hair loss, usually in combination with biotin. It exerts a trophic effect on the epithelium and during lipid metabolism, which provides excellent results in the treatment of alopecia and seborrheic inflammation.
