MANDELIC 45% - MANDELIC ACID
Mandelic acid is counted among alpha-hydroxy acids called in short AHA. It proves useful in skin exfoliation and rejuvenation treatments. Acting in the horny layer of the skin, it loosens the connections between the cell cement and epidermal cells and thus makes the complexion brighter, smoother and properly moisturized. It is worth noting that, depending on the needs, it is often used in combination with other acids, such as pyruvic acid with antibacterial properties or microdermabrasion.
Application
Skin peeling with mandelic acid is recommended especially for people with problematic skin, i.e. acne-prone, sensitive, vascular or combination skin. After peeling the general condition of the skin improves and the skin is less sensitive to external factors. It then becomes brighter and is moisturized and tighter. In case of acne skin the skin changes become dry and seborrhea is reduced.
Course of treatment
The effects of mandelic acid peeling are visible after the first time, although cosmetologists suggest using a series of treatments. The optimal solution seems to be a series of six treatments with a week interval. Thanks to this, beneficial effects, i.e. brightening and hydration of the skin, reduction of seborrhea or even skin tone will last for a long time. Within a year such a series can be repeated twice.
It is also worth remembering that after treatment with mandelic acid for two or preferably three weeks you must not sunbathe, both naturally and in a solarium.
Directions for use
Spread evenly on the degreased skin. Leave for 4-5 minutes. Rinse with water and neutralize.
