Radiesse® is a new generation of facial feature fillers that combines a volumetric effect with powerful stimulation of lost collagen regeneration. The unique formulation of Radiesse® gives an immediate improvement in facial features comparable to other fillers. The product is made of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) particles suspended in a gel matrix, which forms a kind of scaffolding in the areas requiring volumetrics. On this scaffolding, the fibroblasts stimulated by the hydroxyapatite create new collagen, so that the effects of thickening the skin, smoothing wrinkles and filling out facial features persist, even though the gel matrix that builds the preparation is completely absorbed after fulfilling its role. In its place, newly produced collagen will remain.
